GCLD is homeschooler friendly! At Homeschool Hangout, we invite homeschooling parents and children to enjoy a hands-on learning experience together. Each month will feature a different topic.

Basic First Aid for Kids

Calling all homeschoolers in kindergarten through 5th grade! Join us at the library's Homeschool Hangout for a hands-on adventure in safety and care, led by Tammy Russell, Grand County EMS Lieutenant Education. Children will learn some first-aid skills, including how to...

  • Bandage basic wounds
  • Apply simple splints
  • Call 9-1-1 in an emergency

This exciting and interactive program empowers children with real-life skills in a fun, age-appropriate way. Whether they're helping a friend or a sibling, they'll leave feeling confident and ready to help!

Content is geared toward Kindergarten through 5th Graders, but middle and high schoolers will benefit, too!
