Step out of the house and into the library for our Lunch & Learn. Lunch will be provided followed by a 15-30 minute presentation. An excellent opportunity to meet fellow Grand County seniors and discover something new.

Candles for the Defiant is a powerful exploration of courage, resilience, and heritage. In this family memoir, Kaia Gallagher uncovers what happened to her Estonian family during World War II and in the process discovers how Baltic patriots fought to preserve their homeland after Estonia was occupied first by the Soviet Union and then by Germany. The narrative is both intimate and historically significant, offering readers a deep connection to a tumultuous era through the lens of one family’s bravery.
