Event Details

Step out of the house and into the library for our Lunch & Learn. Lunch will be provided followed by a 15-30 minute presentation. An excellent opportunity to meet fellow Grand County seniors and discover something new. 

Project Support for this program is in partnership with the Grand County Library District, Mountain Family Center, and Grand County Public Health.

Topic: Communicating Effectively

○ Explain how dementia affects a person’s ability to communicate.
○ Describe how a person-centered approach can help with communication challenges.
○ List strategies to help you communicate well with a person living with dementia.
○ Identify ways to improve communication with family, friends and health care professionals.
